I was driving to school this morning when a truck cut me off and completely destroyed my front fender.
I managed to stop the truck guy, it was completely 100% his fault.
Parts of the front fender went over my tire, damaging my tire as i moved to the side of the road.
When he hit my car he didn't even know he hit it, He was at a stoplight and I had to run up to him, knock on his door and tell him. A lady on the other side was also telling him too.
It's going to take 2 weeks to get it fixed.
Or it might be write off.

Yeah completely 100% fine, thankfully.
If I didn't brake when I did, his bumper thing would have gone through my door and not the fender.

What a rotten bit of luck.
It's easy for the driver of a big truck to not realize he's collided with a car. I've been the driver of a big truck that didn't realize I've been rear ended until the smashed Lexus pulled up alongside and politely gestured for me to pull over. Which I did, of course.

About two weeks ago I backed into my grandmother's neighbors volkswagen. Snowstorm + Dark + Dark coloured Car didnt work out well when I was leaving.

Ah shit. Last year here a double B clipped a pedestrian with his trailer. He didn't even know either, and drove on. Poor girl died right at the scene. SO.....you do have some things to be thankful for man!!

Yeah. A while ago someone in a B train hit a pedestrian around here and kept going, he was turning a notorious corner and pulled her under the trailer.
Unfortunately I came by just a few minutes after so he was long gone, but I suspect he didn't know he had hit her. Poor girl died at the scene.

A few years ago, I had an unfortunate run-in with a snow plow. I was behind him 1/4 mile from my house. He turned to whip a U-Turn and plow out the intersection. I didn't realized he had turned around and was running the red light when he was a few yards from me.
Fortunately it was a low-speed crash, and he hit me around the same place you were hit. The car was a total loss because the frame rail was pushed in toward the motor.

It was very sad. The corner is atrocious and the city refuses to do anything about it, so thousands of truck per day must weave a hard right then a hard left on busy streets in downtown ottawa.
It is ridiculous.

If it got right into my car than maybe, it was a deep hole.
So far my car has been a burden because of the extremely high insurance, I wouldn't mind a write off because I get 70% of the value, selling it won't be so easy.
It's a really safe and well built vehicle though so I'm lucky. If it is a write off I will miss it :/
